Why Doesn’t God Give More Specific Guidance?

People sometimes wonder, “Why God doesn’t always give us specific guidance about what to do?” When God told Noah to build the ark, he told him what size to make it, which materials to use, and what to bring on board. But many of us don’t receive that type of specific guidance from God. Why? God has given us basic guidance for life, telling us what is right and wrong. With the guidance and boundaries he has given us, there are a variety of ways that we can bring goodness and beauty into the world. I think half the fun for God is seeing our creativity. What will we do with what he has given us? What unique decisions and expressions will you make that delight the heart of God?

How to Read the Bible

People sometimes have the idea that the Bible is a difficult book to read, but most of it really isn’t difficult. The Bible is an amazing book that reveals who God is and tells us the highlights of God’s history with humanity. Much of the Bible is exciting, some of it is a bit dull, and some parts are horrifying, but all of it is enlightening, and it has a great ending that includes you. This video is a short introduction to what is in the Bible, along with an invitation to read the Bible with me on live stream.

Coronavirus: Is It from God?

Coronavirus is becoming a significant concern that is causing fear in many people. When something like this happens, people wonder why and sometimes falsely attribute natural disasters and epidemics to God. Is God responsible for Coronavirus? We can look at the life of Jesus to get the answer to this question. Jesus had one response to sickness: he cured it. We should consider God the healer of sickness, not the bringer of sickness. This video explores God’s work in the world and how it relates to Coronavirus and to your life.

If You Let Yourselves Be Circumcised, Christ Will Be of No Value to You?

Galatians 5:2 says that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. What does this mean? What does circumcision have to do with the value of Christ for us? The Bible has a lot to say about men chopping off their foreskins. In this video, I will explain why Paul is getting so riled up about circumcision in his letter to the Galatians, and how that applies to Christian men today.

Help for the Lonely

Many people feel completely alone in this world. Even some people who are rich and famous and seem to be surrounded by people who adore them still feel lonely. In this video, I hope to help those who have felt in despair because of loneliness by sharing some words of truth from the Lord Jesus. The truth is that you are never alone.

Which Came First, the Proto-Chicken or the Proto-Chicken Egg?

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? This question presents a difficult problem for the theory of evolution. The evolutionary answer to this question is that the egg came first. The proto-chicken laid the first chicken egg. However, this does not solve the insurmountable problem that evolution faces when it comes to reproduction. Evolution requires millions of years for developments in organisms, but no organism has millions of years to develop a functioning reproductive system. There is no scientific answer to the classic problem of the chicken and the egg. There are only stories. I reject evolutionary tall tales. I believe the story that starts with, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” God created the chicken, the egg, and the rooster.

Pizza for Breakfast Evolution Style

How long would it take to get a pizza to develop naturally if all the right ingredients were present? Those who promote the theory of evolution want us to believe that a bunch of swirling chemicals could naturally develop into complex living beings. Scientific observation and common sense give us a different picture of reality. We need more than the right ingredients, we need an intelligent being to put them into an ordered state. A pizza needs a pizza maker.

Is It True That Everything Happens for a Reason?

People often say that everything happens for a reason. However, this idea isn’t Biblical and it gives people the wrong idea about God. When people say that everything happens for a reason, they usually mean that whatever happens is exactly what God wanted to happen. That isn’t true. There are 7 billion humans running around doing terrible things that God doesn’t want them to do. We shouldn’t say that everything happens for a reason, but we can say that no matter what tragedy we experience, God has a way of redeeming it and making it part of our story of victory.
