Jesus Loves the LGBT+ Community

An evangelical Bible thumping Christian talks about God’s love for the LGBT+ community and gives Biblical reasons for supporting the LGBT+ community and same-sex marriage. If you are part of the LGBT+ community, you have a place in the family of God.

Most verses from the Bible are read from the New International Version 2011.
Books mentioned in this video:
God and the Gay Christian by Matthew Vines
Torn by Justin Lee
A Change of Affection by Beckett Cook
Same-Sex Attraction and the Church by Ed Shaw
Credit is due to Matthew Vines for several points made in this video. For deeper discussion on the verses discussed in the video I recommend reading God and the Gay Christian.

Is God Responsible for Natural Disasters and Disease?

Many people wonder, “If God is good, why are there things like earthquakes and deadly diseases?” This video explores why natural disasters and disease exist in the world. God is not to blame. Humans are. The perspective shared in this video is a Christian perspective. It isn’t the only Christian perspective, and no doubt some Christians may disagree with the idea presented here. Thanks for watching!

God Is Inviting You to Be a Superhero

Why do we love superheroes? Is it possible that the reason we love superheroes is because they speak to us about the potential for our own lives? Jesus taught his disciples how to be superheroes. God delights in using ordinary people to do extraordinary things. With God’s power, anyone can become a superhero. And that is what God is inviting you to be!

Million Dollar Button

On a regular basis I get comments asking, “Why can’t you keep your religious beliefs to yourself?” Or, “Why is this religious garbage on Youtube?” This short video is a response to these questions. The million dollar button is a simple analogy to help people understand why I won’t be quiet about Jesus. Of course, the million dollar button would cause utter chaos economically, but the offer Jesus makes is an offer everyone in the world could benefit from without limit. Thanks for watching!

Can Bible Translations Be Trusted?

How can we know if Bible translations are trustworthy? There are so many Bible translations that some people wonder if they can trust the Bible translation they are reading. In this video, I attempt to give a brief explanation for why you can have confidence in your Bible translation while understanding that translations aren’t perfect. Here are some resources if you want to do your own research:

Remembering the Body and Blood of Jesus

What did Jesus mean when he said, “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life?” This video is a short explanation of the meaning and practice of the Lord’s Supper (or Holy Communion, or the Eucharist). For those who are unable to meet with other Christians at a church gathering, this video gives an opportunity to participate in the Lord’s Supper.

A Warning to Religious People

Jesus makes his harshest statements to devout religious people. Religious people have the most potential to become the worst type of people- the type of people that Jesus calls “children of hell.” What can religious people do to avoid becoming the type of people Jesus warns against?

God’s Gift of Righteousness

Righteousness is a gift from God through Christ. Most Christians understand that forgiveness of sins and eternal life are a gift from God. But righteousness is also a gift to be received, not something that we can achieve by our own efforts to be good. It’s good to make an effort to be righteous, but true righteousness comes from what Jesus Christ did for us. And it is a gift we receive by faith.
